College Success Scholarship Requirements

Bresee is proud to be able to provide our community of students with college scholarships ranging from $750 - $3,000.

Deadline: Spring 2025

To be eligible for a scholarship from the Bresee Foundation, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic

GPA minimum 2.5
Attending an accredited college or university in the U.S.
Full-time enrollment in college throughout duration of award

Other

Resident of LA County, regardless of citizenship status; must be AB540 eligible
Complete short answer questions
Have a recommender form submitted by a mentor, teacher, counselor, supervisor, etc.
Complete a minimum 500-word essay
Submit recent unofficial transcripts
Submit parents’ 2023 Federal Income Tax Forms (unless you applied for the California Dream Act Application or CADAA)
Submit Student Aid Report from FAFSA or CADAA
Must be past or current Bresee participant

All applicants are also required to submit an application, a personal statement, and an official high school transcript. Please submit all documents at https://bit.ly/BreseeChildDevelopment.

What Information Do We Collect? Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
